About Venkateswara temple:

Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple is also called as Tirupati Balaji temple and Tirumala. This temple is located on the seventh peak of divine called Tirumala hills in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. This is one of the richest religious shrines temples in the world.

Nearly 30 to 40 million pilgrims come for Balaji darshan. The sevens hills namely called Anjanadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Vrishabhadri, Seshadri, Narayanadri also Venkatadri/Venkatachala.

Importance of Lord Balaji:

Venkateswara had appeared to save the people from plights of Kali Yuga. Based on Varaha Purana, Lord Vishnu made Tirumala hills as his dwelling place in Adi Varaha avatar. The temple is the grand structure with a Gopuram.

People believe that they went on foot for Tirumala darshan then their wishes became true. There are 2 ways to reach on foot like Alipiri and Srivari Mettu from Tirupati railway station

Note: Devotees maintain the dress code like men in pyjama, dothi, and women with half saree, saree, and salwar with Dupatta

  • Shri Balaji temple will be open from 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM on all days

  • Suprabhatam: 5 Am and 4 AM on Fridays
  • Thomala Seva: 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM on Fridays
  • Nitya Kalyanotsavam: 11 AM
  • Saharsranama Archana: 7:30 AM
  • Ekantha Seva: 8 AM
  • Arjitah Brahmotsavam: 12:20 PM
  • Saswatha Nithya Archana

Weekly sevas:

  • Swarna Pushparchana on Tuesday: 3:30 AM
  • Tiruppavada Seva on Thursday: 9:30 AM
  • Astothara Sata Kalasa Abhishekam on Wednesday: 9:30 AM
  • Vastralankara Seva on Friday: 6:00 AM
  • Abhishekam on Friday: 6:00 AM

Monthly Sevas:

  • Unjal Seva on Sravana Nakshtram: 05:30 PM

How to reach:

You can easily visit the Tirumala hills by all modes of transport like by road, by rail, by air, on foot. For the pedestrians, TTD provides the rest houses, canteen, security, medical help, drinking water, piped devotional music thought out path, toilets etc
