About Kasapuram temple:

Kasapuram is the village at Guntakal Mandal in Anantapur district. It is one of the famous pilgrims’ centers. This temple is facing south and 60 feet height of Raja Gopuram. And all the three Kalasas are covered with gold plate. The main entrance made of wood and that is covered with silver plates with a design.

This temple has the holy tank called as KONERU with 4 sides steps. People believe that if anyone takes bath in this holy water then all illnesses, curses are removed also purify thoughts.

Importance of Nettikanti Anjaneya Swamy:

Sri Vyasaraja Tirtha was frequently traveling Hampi to Tirupathi. Guntakal falls on this route and he stays night halt. One day Anjaneya appeared in his dream and directed him to identify the place of consecration. Next day morning he started his mission and finds the place indicated by Lord.

After traveling some distance across jungle he panted small neem tree that he brought with him. That stick neem tree started sprouting with new leaves. Thus he identifies the place where Lord wants to consecrate idol. The neem sprouted that place in forest got name Nettikallu.
